We would like to keep you as informed as possible about our service. Therapy/Counselling

  • Are Counsellors registered with a professional association?

    Yes, I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Here I stand by their ethical framework for counselling professions and follow the Core Principles.

  • What counselling is offered?

    I offer person centred counselling embracing a set of therapeutic approaches  - play therapy, nature therapy, creative therapy and more.

  • What areas of counselling are dealt with?

    Anxiety, Addiction, Attachment disorder, Bereavement, Confusion, Depression, Loneliness, Low self-confidence, Low self-esteem, Postnatal depression, Relationship difficulties, Stress & Work related stress.

  • Indoors or outdoors?

    I work indoors or outdoors depending on your preference for counselling. The nature therapy and outdoor skills are in all weathers and are booked in advance to ensure the spaces are available. 

  • What if I need to cancel a session?

    Fees may still apply, please see our cancellation policy.

Befriending

  • What is the befriending service?

    It is a talking service over the telephone for older people who feel isolated and need someone to chat with.

  • How do people know it is the practitioner from 4 Seasons Therapeutic Services calling?

    On registering for the service you will be provided with an allocation of times of your weekly/fortnightly sessions, we will call at the same time each session, unless you inform us in advance. For additional security we will provide you with a code. This code is for the service user and practitioner only and must be kept private. We will not ask for personal details when we call you, therefore if you are asked for personal details simply put down the phone – PLEASE DO NOT ENGAGE.

  • What if I need to cancel?

    Fees may still apply please see cancellation policy.

Workshops

  • What workshops will be offered?

    The workshops will be outdoors and nature-related – Forest school activities.

  • How do I pay for my child to attend?

    Please email for further details – 4sts20@gmail.com

    On booking, you will be provided with a code and bank details to pay in advance via BACS. On receipt of the transfer, we will then send you a confirmation email. 



  • Are fees refundable if my child does not attend?

    If the event is cancelled by 4 Seasons monies will be refunded.

  • What age will sessions start from?

    Sessions start from the age of 3 years upwards. We recommend children to be toilet trained as there are no nappy changing facilities.

  • What must be worn to attend a woodland workshop?

    We get very muddy so please wear old clothes! Trousers/leggings, long sleeved tops, comfortable boots/shoes, jumper/hoodie, waterproof coat. 

  • What will my child learn about?

    Your child will learn about the natural world around them. They will learn the importance of taking care of themselves, each other and their surroundings.  They will work with others in groups to problem solve, build friendships as well as building confidence, self-esteem and resilience. 

    Being outdoors will help with their physical and emotional wellbeing too.

  • I’ve heard children use real tools, is this true?

    Yes, children will be guided by a practitioner in a safe manner. Children will be encouraged to learn about dangers and risk-taking along with the benefits of this too.

  • Will sessions continue in all weather?

    Yes, sessions will go ahead in all weathers; we ask that appropriate clothing is worn. However, in extreme weathers, where there is a very high risk of harm, workshops may be cancelled and you will be informed of this.

  • Are all areas risk assessed?

    Yes, all areas are risk assessed by the adult team working with the children before the site is used. The children will also be encouraged to take responsibility to risk assess. This helps them learn about risk, problem-solving and leadership skills.
